Brayden update

We ended up taking Brayden to the doctor yesterday afternoon to rule out any of the side effects from the HSP. It was confirmed that it is what we thought and a pretty good case of it too! The great Doc did do a urine test and nothing came back abnormal, yeah! He did prescribe Predsodphosol...(a Corticosteroid used to treat skin conditions severe allergies, arthritis, asthma) to help with the swelling and hopefully help him heal faster than the 4-6 weeks. He only has to take it for 5 days, which is a good thing! We are only on day 10...so this could take a while. He was so brave and didn't even cry when they were poking and pushing and examining him. A med student was even brought in to look at him-as a good teaching case! It is a very rare infection, but not in our family I guess.

While we were there we had his Kindergarten check-up too and he is in great health...minus the spots! We go in for Ella's TWO YEAR check next Friday and the Doc wants to check Brayden out again to see how he's doing.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! We are so thankful that there aren't any internal issues and that he is feeling better!

oh, I am so glad he is doing better! Camden had ITP when he was a baby which is a blood issue. The P in it is purpura. He had spots all over his chest and would bruise really easily. The spots were blood vessels breaking. We had to take him to the pediatric Oncologist for about 6 months. Wow, that made me sad everytime!
