teddy bears and YELLOW

Only one day of preschool this week....and it was at our house.  I cancelled on Monday because Ella wasn't feeling well, so on Wednesday we had preschool just a little longer so the moms kids could still have enough school time for the week.

Our theme was TEDDY BEARS.
Our letter was Y,
and our color was CHARTREUSE.

Do you know what color that is??  Is it is a bright greenish yellowish color.
So...instead of focusing on that color...we did the letter Y and YELLOW for the day.

All of the kids brought their favorite teddy bear and wore yellow.  They LOVED having their bears as special visitors at school for the day.  Ella had her bear help say the pledge of allegiance...

We read a few stories about bears, talked about the crazy weather and had craft time.

The kids were given a wooden cut out of a bear and then painted on some Elmer's glue.

After they were all sticky with glue they had to give their bear some "fur".

When everything was dry, their bears were given pretty/handsome yellow ribbons around their neck.

Ella was so excited to share our snacks for the day.  Everything was YELLOW.  It is pretty hard to find only yellow snacks at the store, just in case you wanted to know.

golden raisens, pineapple, m&m's, jelly beans, starbursts and bananas.

Each of the kids had their own plate of goodies and some star fruit/pineapple juice.

A few of them weren't thrilled with the yellow peppers on their plates...but if they wanted to eat the "real treats" they had to try the healthy treats first, at least one bite.  They did a great job being brave!

We needed to burn off some energy so we went outside where the kids gave their teddy bears piggy back rides and they played duck-duck-goose.

We have just one more time of teaching preschool at our house before we're out for the summer.  Hooray, summer!!!  Ella is ready...can you tell?
