Sunset Hunt

After the ward egg hunt, we headed out to the ranch for the day.  The weather was gorgeous with the added beauty of NO WIND!  Mitch, Matt, Brayden, Amanda, Ella and Morley headed out to rope a wandering steer and take him back to the right ranch.  From what I hear it was quite the adventure.  While they were out working...Elaine and I were enjoying some girl talk and the beautiful warm sun!  It was so nice that we sent out and laid on the trampoline and absorbed more of the sun!  Drew was enjoying having the quiet of the house too!  After Ella and Morley were dropped off, Elaine had to go help Amanda with the naughty steer.  Morley and Drew prepared a fire to roast hot dogs for dinner.  It is impossible for Ella to have a clean face out at the ranch!  She LOVES exploring outside and playing with the boys and all of the dogs!

but...I think Ella's most favorite thing about the ranch is the grey cat, Mimi.  She is a very good cat that really lets Ella tote her around the house.  Ella was extra creative and started carrying her around in the gift bag....or at least trying to.



The Easter bunny found us Saturday night, he must have tracked us on his GPS.  He's pretty smart and just knew hunting for eggs at the ranch would have been more fun that in our little yard.  He even found our four dozen cooked eggs and at least 150 stuffed eggs.  What a busy little bunny.  A sunset hunt was perfect!

The Easter Bunny spread the eggs ALL OVER THE PLACE!  After the kids were all done, Elaine and I went back out and found another two dozen!  

Then it was time to just enjoy the beautiful weather and good company around the fire!

We left really late arriving home after midnight with all of our dirty kids sound asleep in the truck. I like the idea of doing our "bunny duties" on Saturday so we can focus on Jesus Christ and his resurrection on Sunday.  We'll have to commit to that for next year...as the Easter Bunny still has to deliver their buckets.
