loads of family fun

Our week was jam packed with activites, which is totally normal!  On Thursday night, our family attended the monthly roundtable meeting with Matt.  He was presented with the Distric Award of Merit.  He is so involved and committed to scouting and it is wonderful his peers nominated him for it!  He didn't know what award he was going to receive, only that he should bring his family with him to the meeting!  Matt was surprised when they read a little tidbit I wrote about him!  We're so proud of all he does and the amazing example he is to his own little scouts and his daughter!

On Saturday, we drove out to Wray, Colorado for a Scout Day.  It was put on by a local pack/troop for all of the scouts in our council.  We had a pretty rough start leaving...and during the drive but once we arrived it was a lot of fun.  They had it set up kind of like a carnival where the kids could go from one event/activity to another through the day!  It was great the weather actually cooperated so we could enjoy the outside activities.  All of the kids were given sheets of paper with all of the things they could participate in and once they had finished 10 they could pick something from the "prize table".

The track was huge and there were so many scouts who brought their cars!

Brayden won a trophy for the fastest overall car and Drew won 3rd.

We had such a fun day spending the entire day together!  After the morning tears, there was nothing but laughter and stories and games in the car.  I was able to read about 100 pages in my book and enjoy the long ride home.  We made a detour to Sterling where we did a little shopping and then headed home.  As the kids are getting older it is so much fun going out and doing things together!  Ella is no longer the little tag along baby, she can certainly keep up with her brothers and has a blast doing all of their activities!

This past week has also been crazy with our house!  In the last two weeks, we have had six showings and FINALLY not one offer but two offers last week.  One fell through after they felt too much pressure to make a counter offer when the second offer came through.  But...we received a second counter offer from the second buyer...so we'll see what happens this week.  It is too emotional to keep this up much longer!  I'm still dreaming of the "other" house and what our summer will be like with more space and to have my horse just right out side my window!
