running man

Morley had is time one mile run for the Presidential Award for P.E. a few weeks ago.  He had been practicing, the weather was perfect near 80 degrees.  Mom, dad and Ella were in the crowd cheering him on.  He did a great job but he was bummed that he didn't get the time he wanted.  His goal was 7:40 and his actual time was 8:02.  Last year he asked me to run with him.  This year, he is a big 5th grader. I asked him if he wanted me to run with him...and he tried to politely say, "um, not this time mom."  Stinker.

We really enjoy observing him with is peers.  He is a happy and friendly kid.

I love his expression in the larger photo...he was really sprinting at the end!

and...Morley's biggest cheerleader!

An eight minute mile is pretty darn good. Way to go Morley. You're still a cool mom, don't worry Ali.
