Ella's kindergarten class published a class book this year! They each were assigned an alphabet letter then they wrote a sentence and drew a picture. Ella had "G" and "Y". "G" was for Gecko-their class pet Sidzilli and "Y" was for yelling at pep rallies. She spend a lot of time drawing and coloring her pictures and she was very proud of her book. Her class presented the book to their parents and it was a fun afternoon. We have two copies to keep and we will always cherish these fun moments they have in school.
Morley had a HUGE genealogy project for his history class. He had to choose only line in his family tree and write a book, include pictures, documents...anything that he could get his hands on. When he transferred to Leyton in November, his classmates had already been working on their books for a few months. He was behind but did a great job! Morley chose to follow my side of the family, down the Perry line. He was lucky to receive a lot of information from Pa. His final project was 28 pages long. He received 100% on it and we have an extra copy for Pa! Well done Morley, so proud of you!
They presented their books at a parents assembly. He was really nervous but shared this favorite parts of the book. Morley designed the front of his book and took a lot of pride in this project.
We also had HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN ORIENTATION.
What??
It was fun and intimidating and exciting and frightening.
For me.
Maybe a little bit for him.
He will do great. I cannot believe he will be a freshman in just 3 months.
My handsome oldest boy
