It's Pinewood Derby car time! This is Brayden's first year participating and Morley's first year not participating now that he attends the Boy Scout troop. The "city" troop has a pretty slick derby operation! The boys were able to have their cars cut during scout meetings and then sanded and ready to go. PHEW, that makes it easier to get them done. BUT...it is always last minute to finish them!

Brayden was having SO much fun actually watching HIS car race this year!
Ella was the best little cheerleader to her brothers

He took home FIRST for his Tiger den
AND
FIRST place overall for the cub scout pack!
He didn't stop smiling for HOURS!
Drew's car was awesome as well!
He took FIRST in his Bear den!
It was a little surprising to Drew since his car was a little
wobbly going down the track, but he was THRILLED to have done well!
Brayden and Drew were beyond excited with their races on Saturday!
They had great ideas when designing and making their cars,
and had awesome sportsmanship during the races!
One more derby race in February!

Nice looking cars! You guys know all the little tricks. Oh, and I'm pretty sure Drew's hair is longer than mine now - really! :)
Been trying to figure out how you teach your kids to read scriptures on their own. Any secrets worth divulging?

Pinewood derby events are so much fun. Congrats to the boys. Awesome looking cars!
