Blueberries, river, and family

Matt had to fly home Sunday morning.  We were all very sad that he couldn't stay but he had SO much to do in the office since he was only there for FOUR days during the month of July.  We celebrated Dad and Riley's birthday with a BBQ and roasting marshmallows, boxing matches and xBox Kinect after the kids went to bed.  Then more talking and finally going to bed around 2:00 am.  Candice and her family left early Monday morning.  It was so awesome to spend time with them!

We went blueberry picking with Darci and the kids and it was beautiful.  Picking berries at the base of Mt Si is breath taking.  We will miss doing these little things we've done for years when we came to Washington for a visit.  Then we spent some time at the gorgeous river down the street.  Just the sounds of the river, observing the natural beauty and the view of the mountain was priceless.  Mom would get a little teary eyed when she'd sit and think "this is the last time....." each time we did something.  It was true and a little hard to swallow.  The Valley is one special place.

You're a bloggin' fool. That is meant as a compliment of course. There were many reasons to celebrate and memories made!
