fishing in the ARCTIC CIRCLE

Matt was invited to go fishing in the Arctic Circle around the beginning of the year.  We was the only Cabelas employee on the trip.  Cabelas in a sponsor show called Shoot Straight TV on the Outdoor Channel.  Chad and Marsha Schearer's with their two boys Walker and Wyatt travel together doing amazing hunting and fishing adventures.  He flew to Edmonton, Canada and then on to Yellow Knife to Victoria Island, Nunavut Canada.  We were able to Facetime about every other day and stay connected while he was 2,500 miles straight north of us....only 150 miles from The North Pole!  Crazy, right?  The sun never set and it was the most amazing time ever.  Really, fly fishing in the Arctic Circle for NINE days.  He caught Arctic Char and Lake Trout.  Temps were between 35 and 50 degrees, which is crazy because we were roasting back at home in near 100 temps those 11 days.  Chad and Marsha shared some amazing pictures and eventually interviews Matt did and film taken will be on the TV show!  We'll let you know when!

Matt also enjoyed taking pictures of the scenery around him.  He has a macro lens for his iPhone/iPad and they did amazing on the flowers!  What beauty!  There wasn't a tree or shrub in sight.  The little plan would take them to and from their fishing spots each day.  I know I am missing so much information but I couldn't wait to share the pictures!  What an amazing experience!!!  Yeah Cabelas and Shoot Straight TV!
