4th of July {Idaho part 2}

Rexburg, Idaho is really the best place to spend the 4th of July! 

We always have such an awesome time and everything is so patriotic and family oriented!

The parade is awesome and the adults enjoy just watching the cousins interact and goof around.

After the parade and a bunch of fun and festive pictures we got ready for canoeing.  Another tradition we have when visiting over the 4th.  Before we jumped in our canoes....there was a lot of bridge jumping.  Not me....but Brayden was the very first, then Emi, Keegan, Drew, Vince and Matt. It was high but totally safe.  Does that even make sense?  ha!  We loaded up the canoes and floated the river for a few hours.  Haley and I were in a canoe by ourselves and it was fun hanging out with her.  At the end of our float we saw Tom and Brenna in the river too!  We made plans to meet up with them later for fireworks.

We had a delicious dinner...steak, salads, desserts.  Between everyone contributing the pluthera of  fireworks we had quite a show on the street.  It was a fun time and we stayed up WAY to late.  After the fireworks we set up a movie outside.  Most of us fell asleep...I think I took 12 naps during the 2 hour movie.  So much family time is good for the soul!
