CELEBRATION time

We are so grateful for Drew and his laid back personality.

His birthday was on our busiest day of the week for our family and he took it all in stride.

The morning of his birthday we all woke up extra early so we could eat together and open birthday gifts.  We usually eat in shifts in the morning because Morley and Matt leave before Drew and Brayden need to wake up.  There was no needing to wake up Drew though on his special day!

We opened his gifts first...

Ella was so exited to celebrate with Drew!  His breakfast request was a delish sticky bun breakfast ring...found HERE and chocolate milk.  If you decided to use this for a breakfast with candles...DON'T.  The candles melted inside the hot breakfast all the way down to the wick.  bum deal.

Then it was off to school.  He took his favorite cookies with him to share with his class: chocolate cake mix cookies with Andes mint chips. 

We postponed his special dinner and cake until Friday night because on Thursday Morley had a basketball game and Drew had practice and they weren't home until after nine o'clock.

Dinner request:

Fried rice and Creamy Parmesan chicken

NO vegetables

I was a little afraid of making the ice cream cake but it turned out AWESOME and he loved it!  Ella has already requested one for her birthday but with pink ice cream.

Our evening ended with watching Real Steel together and staying up late!  We are so blessed to have Drew in our family and we love him so much!  He loves getting mail and thank you to the family that sent him cards!  I don't think he minds stretching out his celebration over several days!  Would you?
