she's growing up

 This girl NEEDED a haircut!  She wanted it to be long like "TANGLED" but all she didn't want to brush it or take care of it!  Tangled was exactly what it was, all the time.  To avoid the tears and crying, it was time to take off a few inches.  SIX inches to be exact!  It was long and beautiful...

and now it is just shorter but still beautiful!  She loves it and doesn't cry, as much when we brush!  I think she must have inherited her auntie Candice's softer head.  

We had her well-child doctor visit around her birthday and Ella was such a big girl!  The favorite spot in the waiting room is the "fish eye" as my kids call it.  They sit in their and look out the window or read books.

She was very curious about all the gadgets and did a great job holding still and jumping, skipping, hopping, balancing, and all of the milestone markers.

At five she weighs 40 pounds and is 44.5 inches tall.  Her percentages don't surprise me: 52% for weight and 85% for height.  

Her speech is SO much better in the last year and she is totally ready for kindergarten.
