Summer break has arrived!!
Drew and Brayden were out of school on the 16th.
These two boys were pretty lucky to have two sets of amazing teachers this year. They still miss their Sidney teachers, Mrs Sittner and Mrs Wellman very much. We are so thankful for their passion to teaching, love to our children and commitment to education! The new teachers the boys had at their new school stretched them to try new things and make new friends. This school year has been a little bumpy for the boys but they both finished with amazing grades and experiences that they will always remember. They also now know
WE DO HARD THINGS and grow from those experiences!
but Morley had to wait until today to celebrate!
and now....life in the country begins for these boys of ours! We will have a few mowing jobs in Sidney again this summer which will be nice. I was hoping to acquire some in our new town but it seems to already be covered by another mowing service. We were not able to do our traditional ice cream "school's out celebration" so we opted for yummy cookies and a late night. I also want all of us to sit down and make some SUMMER GOALS including our own summer reading program. One of my favorite bloggers does this and it inspired me.
We will spend many days at the pool and Bridgeport Lake, tending our garden and enjoying our first summer in our new community.
How many minutes did it take for the horseplay to start???

Morley has had a wonderful 7th grade year! His final GPA was a 3.8. He really worked hard and excelled in his higher level classes and also enjoyed his extra activities. He has stayed committed with his decision to continue going to school in Sidney which means he is up early and out the door by 7:20-ish. The 20 mile drive to school, hanging out with friends after school and then 20 mile drive home with Matt after work results in him being home late every night but he would rarely complain. I am so thankful to the mom's of Morley's friends who were so gracious to let him be in their home's after school. He has wonderful friends!

Only about 5 minutes after Morley got home this evening. Drew must have been in a playful mood because Morley usually can't keep the upper hand in their little spats anymore.
At least they can make all kinds of noise without bothering the neighbors!

Drew in 5th grade
Brayden in 3rd grade
and Ella in Kindergarten.

This is just the beginning of many more memories of the Haley family. Congrats to the boys for the good grades and all their accomplishments. You'll be busy, as usual. Have fun!!!!!!!!

So exciting! Summer out in the 'country' will be the best I'm thinking, enjoy it all!
Wow, are you wondering what in the world you're going to do next year with ALL your kids in school?? ;) End of school is so exciting and I am very much looking forward to our summer break as well! Congrats to all your boys for pulling out such great ends to their year! Love you all.
Hooray! Summer! The best time of year. The boys will have so much fun. Ella will learn to share the remote (maybe). LOL.
