This birthday girl had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday through the week!
Per tradition, we opened family gifts before the boys and Matt left for school and work. She informed us that she knew she just couldn't wait until dinner time to open them!
She bounced out of bed and continued to wake up her brothers, reminding them it was her birthday. Being five turned her into a little bossy sister! They were nice and put up with it but I don't see that lasting too long.
She really was spoiled by her aunties and Nana/Pa. Care Bear, raincoat, umbrella, shorts, fairy dress up outfit, fancy flip flops that have magnetic charms, Hello Kitty hat, sunglasses and some art supplies. There was a lot of squealing, smiling and "i love this so much" was heard early that morning.
Ella and her daddy
Her breakfast request was purple pancakes.
and of course a Hello Kitty cake!
She was quite a little chatterbox talking to all those that called to wish her a happy birthday! She walked around the house and talked and carried on conversations with each family member that called. We might be in trouble!
I used marshmallow fondant, jelly beans, polka dot paper and black paper. Who knew that I couldn't find black licorice at our little Dalton market? The paper bow is much cuter than a fancy fondant one that would have fallen apart for sure!
Does she love all the attention on her?
YES!
And of course her special birthday outfit!
Happy special day, Miss Ella!

It was fun to see your Hello Kitty b-day theme ideas for Ella, we started collecting Hello Kitty items a few months ago since she is so popular these days, they have hello kitty pretty much everything out there. Brooklynne had decided she wanted the kitty theme when she turns 3 in August when she saw a cupcake-hello kitty cake at the bakery awhile back so my girls were so excited when they saw your theme in action, it was fun to see your take on the theme...very sweet!
So cute! And I LOVE that skirt! I may have to order a couple of the same from you! :)
Darling!!
As always, you do so much to make days like that so memorable for your kids. You are an awesome mom. Happy Birthday, Ella!
