Blue and Gold Circus

Our Cub Scouts had the
"best show on earth"
last night.  Dusty and Sherrie really went all out with their plans.
It took two nights to set up and it was amazing!
Our ticket invitations were fun and I personalized one for each family.

There were balloon animals, face painting, fun games, popcorn and a photo booth.
Our table decorations were super cute and easy enough that the boys helped make everything.
They wrapped the silverware in napkins tied with blue/yellow yarn, glued large pom poms to the front of cups for a "clown nose" effect and peanuts in a small bowl with suckers stuck inside.
We had a "concession stand" with hot dogs, chips, salads, etc.  It wouldn't be a true "pack meeting" without awards.  All of the boys earned multiple awards.  Drew earned his Webelos badge, artist, craftsman, family member and fitness activity badges.  Brayden earned three belt loops and two yellow beads.  He is SO close to earning his wolf badge.

Our Primary president, Becky, found an amazing gal who created a circus tent cake for the event.

My "assignment" for the night was the photo booth.  It was fun gathering/making all the props and watching the kids/families get dressed up for their quick photos.

Here are some of my favorites....

Our ring leader Cub Master and beautiful assitant...Dusty and Sherrie

The Siler, Burke, Dutton and Anderson families

The Jones, Hackleman, Hunsaker and Bishop families

The younger kids had a great time getting their pictures taken by themselves.

Here is my webelo den with their fearless leader...moi.

Our silly family!

Morley, Nathan and Noah

Our face painters were amazing!  Ella loved her big butterfly so much she went back for two more.

We've never had a "party" like this before with our cub scouts and it was pretty awesome.  So many parents and leaders contributed to the successful evening and I am so blessed to associate with them.  I think the photo booth may have to be something we try again soon for a birthday party, it was seriously so much fun for me to do!

Happy 102nd Birthday, scouting program!

Wow!!!!!!!!!! Amazing what your program puts on. Great job. Our ward would be so jealous. Looks like it was worth all the work to set up. Great memories created, for sure.

Oh. My. Goodness. That looks like it was the most amazing time EVER! I will definitely have to throw this into the "scouting" bucket for future use! Seriously, the best time ever!
