Drew was so excited to play basketball again! His skills have improved so dramatically over the last year and into the new season! There were only three games before Christmas break and he is really looking forward to the traveling team again that starts next week. Drew is playing the forward position this year and he is doing a great job with his rebounding and boxing out. We are still the yelling cheering loudly parents in the stands but this year he is smiling at us instead of coming close to tears! I nearly cry every time he does a great move, makes a basket or blocks a shot from sheer happiness for him! We missed his last game because we were in Utah for Coley's wedding but our friend Katrina kept texting me his acheivements during the game..."Drew made the first basket of the game"..."He scored again"! During his second game he made a steal, drove to the basket and made a basket! I was on my feet yelling for him! As long as he keeps his fouling under control.....that was my weakness!
Brayden did a great job at his school Christmas concert! He is always full of smiles! We had a CD of all his concert songs resulting in the entire family memorizing each song with Brayden. I had to stop myself singing out loud a few times! His teacher, Mrs. Sittner left on maternity leave around Thanksgiving and he was quite sad that he wouldn't be able to say good bye to her. Brayden was surprised when she came with her new baby girl to their Christmas party on the last day of school! We promised to stay in touch!
There is a CAMEL that lives six miles from our house.
A 2-hump CAMEL!
While at Wal-Mart last week....
look what I saw.
Yes....
a riding lawn mower - hitched to a shack - hitched to a boat
Are you kidding me?
Oh the funny things we see here in Nebraska!
