letter K, rectangles and the beach

We had fun with Preschool!
It was fun incorporating our letter, shape and theme
into a very cold and windy week!

For our letter Kk
we made Kite's.
Our rectangles were found
on the tail of our kites
and our Krispie treats.

On Wednesday we focused on THE BEACH!
Oh...if only we could have had a field trip!
The kids painted pasta shells.
They thought that was pretty cool to have a noodle shell!

Then they made a beach picture.
They had to follow some specific instructions with their watercolors.
ONLY the color BLUE could be used.
They had pieces of sand paper for their "sand",
sticky foam turtles, fish and star fish to put on their beach/ocean
and painting, painting, painting.
I was VERY impressed with their ability to follow the instructions.

Our snacks were SUPER not-so healthy though.
Keeping with our "beachy" theme, we ate
goldfish, swedish fish and popsicles!
They loved every bit of it!

As soon as I can find the battery charger for my small camera,
I'll get some video of Ella reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
WORD for WORD!
So stinkin' cute!

What cute kids. Amelia LOVES her shell. It is broken in places from her toting it around. She is sort of upset that she can't hear the ocean. Ella recited the Pledge the other day when we were at Walmart. Some of the checkers and patrons were clapping! What a girl!

Ah, a field trip would have been the cherry on top! Some day, maybe. Your projects are always so fun.
