On Wednesday we left early in the morning for the ranch with the Siler boys. They stayed with us for a few days while Trissh was at girls camp. I was cooking with Elaine and didn't participate in the "branding" part, just the "feeding" part. We took the kids out to the branding pasture with us and they loved being out there. Mitch invited Brayden, Noah and Will to stay out there during the branding. Of course they said YES! We took Ella, Drew and Quinn back with us to the house. Everyone had a fun time exploring, eating and playing. We came home with a new little turtle Ella names Smalls and two Prairie Lizards. Mitch even saddled up a horse and let all the kids ride! Brayden has a experience that scared him a bit. The horse he was riding took off with him and he stayed on! He took off a dead tree limb with his head and was a bit shaken up but agreed to keep riding so he wouldn't end his ride being scared. Elaine doesn't know how he didn't fall off, he must have been hanging on with just his legs, his feet barely reached the stirrups. The Siler boys enjoyed their ride was well. The highlight for me seeing Tess's new colt that was just six days old! He was precious! We were also able to feed the calf again, Ella sure adores him! We love our time out there and look forward to another trip soon!
