Easter!

 

It was fun spending Easter with family this year!  We somehow fit in egg coloring with the younger cousins Friday night.  Then before the baptism Saturday morning we did an egg hunt with their ward.  Ella and Emi were so cute together.  The older boy cousins were "too cool" to participate though they were all begging Brayden, Ella and Emi for some candy.  Ella and Brayden had fun feeding a little bunny in Nitta's backyard.  Apparently one of their neighbors accidentally let their bunnies out and then they moved and the bunnies are still roaming the neighborhood.  They don't let you get super close but close enough to eat a few carrots.  Saturday night we had a family egg hunt at a park.  There was a 8 and under hunt and a 9 and older hunt.  There were quarters in each egg and I think 12 eggs per kid.  They had fun and when they found all the eggs Uncle Vince also hid two, one with $5 and one with $10.  Drew found the $5 and Tadj found the $10.  We enjoyed pizzas as the sun went down.  Each night was a very late night for kids and parents.

Sunday was crazy and wonderful.  We were unsuccessful this year getting a family picture much to my disappointment.  We went to Sacrament meeting with Nitta's and then went to Ben's cousin's house in South Salt Lake for a few hours to show the kids his pottery studio. (that is a post in itself)  We got back to Nitta's in time for a wonderful Easter dinner with more family.  Kent prepared a wonderful Easter devotional that included all the cousins reading parts and then a short testimony meeting afterwards.  It was wonderful and very spiritual.  Haley and I went on another walk while everyone hung out and continued chatting.  Her cousin Megan also came with us.  Haley is trying to get Megan and Morley to like each other.  It is funny....kind of.  Later we skyped with Darci for her birthday and the rest of her family and mom and dad.  I love technology!  It was a wonderful Easter Sunday and many memories were made again!  The Easter Bunny finally found the kids as the sun was going down. They had to hunt around to find them.  The bunny had a hard time finding things to fill the buckets of the older kids.  They are easy to please and were happy with their treasures.  Traditions are my favorite part of the holidays!
