Brayden's Celebration!

We celebrated B's birthday as a family before and after school.  We all woke up a little earlier to open gifts before school since our evening would be spent at scouts.  His breakfast of choice was gooey cinnamon monkey bread.  He shared cupcakes with his classmates and before scouts we cashed in our book-it coupons for free pizza for his dinner of choice.  While he waited for the pizza, he enjoyed playing on his new (to him) i-Pod.  That was the big gift to him....my old i-Pod.  He's in heaven.  He is also very excited about his bug vacuum, basketball, Under Armour shirt and Perry the Platypus cover for his i-Pod.  It was a fun and very busy day and he went to bed a happy nine year old boy.

On Friday we had a friend party....with five additional 3rd graders.  Good Golly, it was LOUD for those five hours!  They played basketball, nerf guns, hide-n-seek, Wii, made pizzas, opened presents, ate cake and ice cream and popcorn and watched (kind of) a movie.  Brayden just wanted a chocolate cake with green frosting and mint chips.  I love his simplicity!!  He has a great set of friends who all live less than .5 miles from us.  They can ride their bikes to see each other anytime.  I LOVE that!  He had a fun time and was exhausted by the end of the night.  He was spoiled with i-Tunes gift cards, LEGOS and a truck/boat toy.  Happy birthday buddy, I am happy your friends could celebrate with you!
