This phase of life our family is in is so much fun and yet, at the same time bitter sweet.
Our kids are getting old enough that they can just go off with friends, they can come home and be responsible after school if I am gone and they can go on hunting adventures with their dad.
All of those things happened last weekend.
I headed out to the ranch with Ella on Friday afternoon before the boys got home from school. We were spending Friday and Saturday out there to just hang out and help with Coley's bridal shower. It was so great and a nice little get away! Ella and I spent a little time with Si and promised him that we would bring him HOME soon!
I love these girls!
Morley left early Saturday morning with a group from church to Colorado Springs, a four hour drive, to watch the Air Force vs. Wyoming football game. He had a great day and really enjoys his friends and the independence he is gaining with his age. This is the bitter sweet part....I'm not sure I like the independence. He is such a great kid!
Matt, Drew and Brayden went deer hunting Saturday morning at 4:45 AM. Yes...in the morning. They wanted to be in "their sweet spot" by the time the sun rises. Though they did not come home with a deer, they had a good time and apparently some tired boys had a nap. Drew has opted NOT to go this weekend but Brayden can't wait and Morley is pretty excited too. Hopefully they will each bring one home and we can stock our freezer again!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away?
We hope to have good news about our house situation soon. We are still *waiting* for the second appraisal results and the report from underwriting. Our Nov. 22nd deadline is fast approaching.

*notice Drew's leg right in the middle of a yucca bush. Those things HURT, I guess his cowboy boots protected the weary hunter's leg. Matt said Justin was snoring nearby too! ha ha
