Volcano

Morley was excited to be in the 6th grade, mostly because he knew they would be making their own volcanoes for science class.  It was finally his turn.  He we just needed to decide on how to make it.  There were many options given...paper mache, cake, spray foam, clay......

Since we never sometimes procrastinate, we decided on spray foam because it would be COOL #1 and FAST and EASY!  We watched a youtube video the night before the helped us come up with the "form" for the volcano and definitely made it easier to design.

Morley had a fun time messing around with the spray foam and creating his unique volcano.

After the foam had expanded and hardened, we spray painted until Morley was happy with the color.  Once that was dry...it was time to add the lava!  He really enjoyed doing most of this project entirely on his own.  It really looked awesome!

He said it did awesome at school during the eruption!  YEAH!  These "big kid" projects are fun to work on together!
